Experience Our Vibrant Senior Living Community in Grand Junction

At Cappella of Grand Junction, our personalized approach is designed to encourage growth, passion, and enthusiasm for all of life’s promises and possibilities, at every age and ability level. We invite you to join in our song and experience life’s harmony at Cappella.

We’ve created a senior living community in Grand Junction where every person is valued and every day offers opportunities for enrichment. Our approach stems from our parent company, Christian Living Communities, a faith-based, non-profit organization founded here in Colorado more than 50 years ago.

Our Vision

Creating communities where aging is honored and celebrated

Our Mission

Christian Living Communities enriches the quality and dignity of life for older adults through services and care that reflect Christian love, respect, and compassion toward each individual.

The Non-Profit Difference

As a non-profit organization, Cappella of Grand Junction and our parent organization, Christian Living Communities (CLC), are committed to our mission of enriching the lives of older adults. Our mission guides all decision making across the organization and our sister communities.

We are accountable to an all-volunteer board of directors, rather than shareholders. CLC prioritizes resident and team member well-being above all else, and is not required to maximize profits in the interest of shareholders as for-profit companies are.

Any profits of Cappella of Grand Junction and CLC are managed for the future growth of our organization to ensure we are able to sustain and grow our collective mission.

Our Signature Programs

Cappella of Grand Junction doesn’t just provide exceptional housing and care for older adults. Together with Christian Living Communities, we are committed to continually looking for opportunities to evolve and improve as an organization and in our approach to empowering older adults.

CLC’s team of experienced, well-researched, and passionate professionals have created unique programming that is foundational to our community. Our life enrichment programming, approach to dementia care, Citizenship Model of community life, and dining experiences guide us as we pursue our mission of enriching the lives of older adults.

Our Culture of Citizenship

Continuum of Person-Directedness

Our Culture of Citizenship

The Citizenship Model, created by our parent organization, Christian Living Communities, is an age-positive, empowerment approach rooted in the belief that each individual, at every age and level of abilities, has gifts, passions, talents, and experience that can make the community stronger and better.  When people view themselves as active citizens in their communities, there is influence, meaning, autonomy, belonging and an overall sense of well-being.

Residents, team members, family members, and our vendor partners are all citizens, who together, weave a beautiful and vibrant tapestry of living.

We believe this approach will revolutionize aging services, moving beyond traditional cultures that focus on a declinist view of aging to purpose-filled cultures of shared responsibility, to citizenship.

We recently moved our mother from another facility to Cappella's. It's a new facility with a great staff! What we've noticed in the couple of months since she's been here.... is her quality of life has greatly improved and she is more involved with daily events and tasks (with less fees then what she was paying before)! The staff is always engaging her in activities, conversation and encouraging her to be more active. She's not just comfortable, but still finding enjoyment in her life 🙂
